1. Contact Photobook Lab - Summer Pop-Up at Burdock Brewery
Dates: August 8 & 9 | Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: 6 Denison Square, outside Burdock Brewery, Kensington Market
Rain or Shine: The garage is covered.
A personal favorite, the Contact Photobook Lab is hosting a pop-up featuring a curated collection of photography art books. They’ve partnered with Omikhle Bookshop on Saturday and Lyricalmyrical Books on Sunday to offer even more unique titles. Come explore dozens of photobooks for sale!
2. Dead Mall Day-Camp: A Day at Cobourg's Most Liminal Mall
Date: August 9
Location: 222 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5T 3B3
Explore Ontario's last remaining Rainbow Cinemas and uncover the nostalgia of the Northumberland Mall in Cobourg, a once-thriving shopping center now steeped in liminal history. Hosted by Liminal Assembly on Instagram, this tour will take you through the mall's history, highlighting forgotten spaces, and providing a community reintroduction to this unique place. A perfect opportunity for photo enthusiasts!
3. The Power Plant Toronto - Walking Tour: Intersection of Art and Nature
Date: Sunday, August 17 | Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Discover where art, nature, and Indigenous culture intersect on this walking tour through Cabbagetown and Allan Gardens. Led by Toronto-based educator Mike Buckland, this tour will highlight powerful Indigenous artworks and Indigenous gardens, originally part of HeritageToronto’s tours program.
4. Ghibli Summer Market
Dates: August 16 & 17 | Time: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Japanese Cultural Centre, 6 Sakura Way

Step into a whimsical world inspired by the films of Studio Ghibli at this magical market. Explore stunning Ghibli-inspired art created by local GTA artists, enjoy food vendors, and embrace cosplay opportunities in a vibrant celebration of the beloved animation studio.
5. The Parkdale Music Crawl and Sidewalk Sale
Date: August 23 | Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 AM
Celebrate music and local talent at this full-day event! Stroll along Queen Street West between Roncesvalles and Dufferin, enjoying live music performances at various venues, including:
